The Watcher

In order to have the continuity of something, you have to have somebody constantly watching this continuity happening. If you have ego continuity, you also have to have the observer observing that ego is continuity. This is because the whole thing is based on a mirage. If there's no watched, there's no mirage. If there's a watcher to acknowledge that the mirage exists, there will be a mirage. After Enlightenment, there's no watched anymore; therefore the watcher's object does not exist anymore.

為了有某種東西的連續性，你必須有人不斷地觀察這連續性的發生。倘若有連續性的自我， 你也必須讓觀察者觀察自我的連續性。這是因為整個事情是基於幻影。倘若沒有觀察者，就沒有幻影。倘若有觀察者見證幻影的存在，就會有幻影。覺悟後再也沒有被觀察了：因此，觀察者的目標不再存在。
